The Echo
Every small reply you send and receive today crosses the same canyon, and together they make the shape of your day.
The card
High above the woman, swallows fly from one canyon wall to the other. They never stop at one side for long. Each bird leaves a cliff, crosses the open air, and turns back, so the space between the rock faces is always full of movement.
Below them she stands on her ledge in the golden evening, her call already sent. The ringed sun hangs over the canyon, and the green river runs on toward the small sun at the far end. The birds are the busiest thing in the picture, and the easiest to miss.
Essence
The Echo is the card of call and response. Nothing you say or do stays where you put it; it travels out, meets the world, and comes back changed. The card asks you to listen to what returns as closely as you spoke, because meaning lives in the space between the call and the answer.
For today
Watch the swallows. No single flight across the canyon matters much. But the crossings never stop, and the sky between the walls is made of them. Ask yourself which small exchanges fill your day: the morning greeting, the quick message, the reply to a neighbour, the thanks at the till.
Today, give each of those crossings your full attention while it happens. Answer the short message as carefully as you would a long letter. Look at the person who says hello. At the end of the day, notice what came back to you, and how the many small replies fit together into something larger than any one of them.
